I felt comfortable leaving my father in the facility’s care. The one time I had a concern, I brought it to management’s attention, and the situation was remedied immediately. I was very grateful for the prompt attention. The occupational therapists were the highlight of my father’s stay. They worked so closely with him and the rest of our family to get my father back to where he could live on his own. They demanded a lot from him, and they made him work hard, which was difficult, but necessary. The only downside of my father’s stay was the daily meals.

The care wasn’t good and they even forget to order his good. I had to go down only to be told the kitchen is closed. The building itself and the rooms were clean and very nice. It’s a newer building, but there was a few staff. My dad soiled his pants and it took them an hour to get in there, and it took them about another two hours to get my dad cleaned up. My dad had no teeth and lots of times when they cooked hash browns they’d be too hard so he couldn’t chew them.
Instead of just telling her not to get up on her own the staff here worked with her so she can transfer herself to/from bed to wheelchair and wheelchair to toilet safely and independently. They have also gotten her involved in lots of activities which has been great for her emotionally and cognitively. My father is physically declining but staff interacts with him, joking around with him . My only complaint would be I had to request via Mackenzie more than once that staff shave his face since his vision has gotten so poor and I frequently have to clip his fingernails.
